Anime Overload Game Modes — Complete Guide (2026)

Each Campaign stage presents a fixed number of enemy waves. You must survive all waves to complete the stage. Stages have three difficulty settings: Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. First-time completion of each stage on each difficulty grants a one-time Crystal and Pure Star bonus.

Clear all stages on Normal first to unlock the full Campaign map. Then revisit completed stages on Hard for better loot. Save Nightmare attempts for after your units are Level 7+. Stage 6-10 Nightmare is currently the best single-player Crystal source per run.

Up to 4 players cooperate to defeat large boss enemies. Bosses have phase transitions at certain HP thresholds. Four difficulty tiers: Normal, Hard, Expert, Nightmare. Daily entry limits apply.

Always run with a full party of 4 when possible for maximum DPS efficiency. Use the team compositions outlined in the Raids Guide. Expert and Nightmare require coordinated trait builds.

Enemies spawn in infinite waves with scaling HP and damage. Every 25 waves is a milestone checkpoint with a guaranteed reward chest. Units can die permanently in Infinite Mode if hit by certain boss abilities — revival costs Gold.

Include Escanor for passive Gold generation to fund unit revivals. The optimal strategy is to reach Wave 50 each session for the Crystal reward, which takes roughly 20–30 minutes with an optimized team. Beyond Wave 100, rewards scale but the difficulty spike requires max-level SSS units.

Two guilds of 8 players each run parallel wave maps simultaneously. The guild that clears more waves within the time limit wins. Guild members' individual performance contributes to a guild score. Guild Wars run on a weekly schedule.

Coordinate unit types across your guild — don't stack all DPS. Ensure at least 2 members run Susano Indra support and 2 run Escanor farm. Communication in Discord during Guild Wars significantly improves coordination.

Each day, 3 Daily Challenges are available with specific modifiers: unit restrictions (e.g., "DPS units only"), enemy modifiers (e.g., "enemies have 2x HP"), and time modifiers (e.g., "clear in under 5 minutes"). Challenges reset at midnight UTC.

Always complete all 3 Daily Challenges before they reset. Even if a modifier makes the challenge difficult, the rewards justify the attempt. Build a secondary team suited for off-meta restrictions (e.g., keep a strong Yuno for air-enemy-only modifiers).
